Yes, he named his shark after another shark X'D
He has a female pet blacktop reef shark, Mako, and they live in the reefs of the Caribbean, though Teru hardly stays at home for long. He often wanders about the globe, checking out sunken ships and strange human things like that. He's a lil bit of a hoarder, he likes a lot of the human trinkets. Humans really fascinate him

When Teru was 7-8, he was exploring a sunken ship when he ran into some divers. One of the divers had somehow gotten their equipment stuck on a chain in the ship, which was in an unreachable position for both the diver and their dive buddy, and was slowly loosing air. So Teru undid the chain for them and as a reward, kept the chain and padlock (He wears it now on his tail). How did the divers repay him? By taking a picture of him, uploading it to the internet, alerting the Coast Guard and whoever watches over the reef they were diving in, and then attracting rare species poachers, because LOOK, IT'S A FUCKING MERCHILD. A few weeks later, poachers caught Teru and were going to sell him on the black market... Until someone kicked Teru and he started crying. If you don't already know, a Willow's tears turn into white pearls. So then the poachers realized that as long as the boy cried, they would have an unlimited supply of pearls that they could sell for a high price and have a continuous income. Teru had then been introduced to various methods in attempt to make him cry more efficiently. Guilt, onions, physical abuse, mental abuse, drugs, electrocution, anything that might work, they tried it. This went on until he was 12. The poaching business had been found out and the members were arrested. Teru had then been handed over to a group of marine biologists to be studied. After 4 years of experiments, tests, and dissections, Teru was sent to a nearby aquarium to be viewed by the public. When he turned 17, some damn people literally stole him out of the aquarium, dressed him up like a stereotypical merMAID (blond wig, shell bra, makeup, and even a tail covering that made the tail look like Ariel's), and toted him in a large glass tank in a 18 wheeler to parties held for spoiled girls who HAD to see a pretty pretty mermaid. The people had put a collar on his neck that would dispense a drug in his system that would feel like ice then fire in his veins (it would hurt worse that a butt cheek on a stick) to make sure that he wouldn't hide behind the glittery plastic coral display. Once, the pain got so great, Teru pulled the instructor underwater and nearly drowned him before going unconscious. Shortly after, the people threw him back into the ocean because "scum like that should stay in the ocean". Teru was 19 at the time.

Humans still scare him slightly but he saw so many cool things during the time he was away, that, well, they just fascinated him, and he's kinda dumb, so he got over it.

He's pretty well built, as he often goes out to sunken ships and takes souvenirs back.

He likes having human/willow company, but only one at a time. If he is being introduced to someone, he's all shy, but by himself, it's an LET'S MAKE FRIENDS mode.

Can seem all tough and tsundere at first, but when you get to know him, he can be all cheerful and cute.
